Chopper
The air force rescue helicopter must have been stuck overnight at Furness General Hospital so I got a close up shot.

On this side of "the pond", if you had gotten that close to one of our military aircraft you would have been "chewing the lawn" about 1 second later. ;)
They don't bother as much over here,this one is a Sea King search and rescue copter,a bit long in the tooth now proved by the fact that it has been blocking the helipad all weekend having broken down! see them quite a lot around here because we have the nearest hospital to the Lake District which despite it's name is very hilly and we get lots of climbers falling off them.

Sadly, not as facetious as it sounds. :(
